This model is made up of two pieces carved from the remains of recovered bull horn, which together simulate the figure of a butterfly's wings. Both pieces are held together by cotton thread on each side and assembled to the cotton canvas woven on a backstrap loom.
NUUP, which means ‘union’ in Mayan, symbolises the connection and bond that forms between each of the artisans, their communities and histories as they work together.
NUUP, is the union of the Mayan artisan world full of unique elements and the feeling of the artisans to transform them into unique and unrepeatable pieces demonstrating the talent of each of the communities where they were created.

Nude coloured flat sandal made of regenerated materials with comfort sole and ecru Mayan loom textile with cotton thread and recovered horn piece. Finished with a pointed toe.
