Beel sandals

Pieces created by artisans from the communities of Yaxunah and Los Laureles, with braids of cotton thread made with macramé technique of different sizes and thicknesses that join the rectangular links of recovered bull horn, carved and polished.

BEEL means path in Mayan; it represents life in movement, of walking the path creating and transforming the elements of nature into unique pieces that transcend the beauty of the handmade. BEEL is the analogy of the crossing of paths of the artisans of the communities of Yaxunah and Los Laureles, and of each of the people involved in this project, who by coming together have created a unique fusion between the Mayan textile world and contemporary culture.

FEATURES:

Nude coloured flat sandal made of regenerated materials with comfort sole and ecru Mayan loom textile with cotton thread and reclaimed horn links. Finished with a square toe.

COLOUR: Ecru and multicoloured (shades from black to amber).

VARIANCES: As they are 100% handmade and made of natural materials, none of them are identical, each piece has unique variations in texture and shades ranging from black to amber tones. The images shown are a colour reference.
